Dua is a form of worship in Islam where we ask Allah for his blessings, guidance, and protection. For example, when we make dua for parents, we ask Allah to have mercy on them, forgive them, and bless them with happiness and good health in this life and the hereafter.

رَبِّ ارحَمهُما كَما رَبَّيانى صَغيرًا
Rabbi irhamhuma kama rabbayanee sagheeran
O my Lord! have compassion on them, as they brought me up (when I was) little.
Surah Al-Isra ,verse 24

رَبَّنَا اغۡفِرۡ لِىۡ وَلـِوَالِدَىَّ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ يَوۡمَ يَقُوۡمُ الۡحِسَابُ
Rabbana-ghfirlī wa liwālidayya wa liil Mu’miniina yauma yaquumul hisaab”
Translation:Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the judgment will come to pass
